A newer Chevrolet S10. Sold in Brazil, and other places, I assume. It was really odd to see one here in small-town Kentucky.
Looked like it had a U.S. plate, too.

Chevy Colorado, they build them in Wentzville, MO.

Maybe I’m just bad at getting jokes today, but this is a joke right? That’s a Colorado, right?
*edit*
Nope, just googled it... I had no idea the S10 was still a thing.

did it have a manufacturer plate?

GM puts the bowtie on the Holden Colorado and sells it as a Chevy in S. America.

It’s just what our Colorado looks like everywhere else. Apparently we’re the only ones who don’t want our trucks to look like our mid-size sedans.

It’s just the global version of the Colorado. They didn’t think we’d want a truck that looks like a Malibu, so they gave us a new front end.

ahh, that makes sense. I think they were right.

Also, lower bed sides and I think there’s a couple other mechanical difference but I’m not sure on that one.

Mexico plates are the same form factor as US/Canadian plates.

That’s unusual.

Yeah. I’m not a huge fan of the one we got, but at least it doesn’t look like a Malibu on stilts.

I think drive train options are different. Like what’s available with which transmission and maybe some different engines altogether.

Could very well have been someone from Mexico, then. Still no idea why they’re here in Kentucky.

I just wish the one we got was reasonably priced. What ever happened to the cheap small truck?

How is $20,000 for a new truck not dirt cheap?

I honestly thought they were more expensive than that. I did look it up after I posted. I just forgot to amend my post.
